Over the last 18 months CCO conducted a health care listening campaign that engaged over 1,000 individuals in in-depth health care conversations. Overwhelmingly, fear about health care coverage spanned economic, racial and geographic lines. This fear was represented by common lingering questions: “What if I loose my health insurance tomorrow?” or “What if I can’t afford quality health care for my child next month?” In addition to the overwhelming concern regarding health care coverage, the listening campaign surfaced great community concern about the cost of prescription drugs, especially for seniors, access to quality safety net care, and the increasingly large number of children without health insurance coverage
